Making sure your account and the data you collect is key to Launchcloud. All accounts are fully encrypted but making your account even safer each time you log in is always a good plan. Google 2-Step Verification is one way that Launchcloud can help you do this.
Multi-factor authentication is used in conjunction with your Launchcloud login password each time you access your account, it is another layer of secure password that has to be entered each time you log in to the platform.
How does it work?
Signing up to 2FA (2 Factor Authentication) is simple and enables Google to let you log in to may different accounts keeping you data perfectly safe.
Many applications today use 2-factor authentication through Google and Google have been one of the leaders in devising 2FA allowing data stored with Google to be super safe. Launchcloud has used Google Authenticator as it is the most common and most readily accessible to anyone anywhere in the world.
When logging in to an account you will still be asked for your username and password but as an extra layer of protection you will be asked to enter a 6 digit code that it reproduced throughout the day meaning each time you log in the code will be different and you will need to enter a unique code each time. you can request the receive the code via text, voice call, or use the mobile app, if you have a Security Key, you can insert it into your computer’s USB port.

How do I set up 2FA?
You will first need to begin by informing Launchcloud that you would like to set 2FA up on your account. We can only adhere to request from account owners as once applied to an account all users within that account will need to abide each time they log in.
While being set up on your Launchcloud account each user will need to download google authenticator app that will produce a unique code every 30 seconds or so that you will use to log in. The device you download the app on does not need to be the same as the one that you access Launchcloud with, but you will need to make sure you have access to Google Authenticator app each time you log in.
Once you have the application and have signed into Google you will be sent a link from Launchcloud that will ask you to scan the QR code linking your Launchcloud account to your Google Authenticator app. Once completed both Launchcloud and Google Authenticator are connected and will work in harmony to log you into your account.
